BRIDGET BYRNE 50 GV GAMES
This weekend we celebrate Bridget Byrne’s 50 game milestone. This is Bridget’s
third season with EFNC and she has made a brilliant start to her netball career. She
joined the club in 2016 playing 2 seasons in the Under 17’s. During these 2 years
Bridget represented the GVNL Under 17 Interleague team and the North Central
Under 17’s State team. After a solid season in the Under 17’s last year Bridget was
awarded Runner-Up Best and Fairest for the club and has this year been elevated to
the A Grade squad. She is thrilled to be playing defence alongside Tam Nicholls
whom she pin points as the player she admires most at our club and she says
having the opportunity to play with cousin Sherry Townrow is definitely a bonus for a
few laughs. She looks forward to the season ahead including hearing Coach Gina
Yelling “Jump!” continuously on the sidelines and we as a club look forward to
watching her always holding her own in defence and definitely making it exciting
viewing for the supporters. 
We wish Bridget the best of luck for this season and are eager to see her netball
career unfold.
