NETBALL MILESTONE

10 May 2018 by Zara Pearson

Meg Rohde has also hit the 50 game milestone this week.
Meg played with the Baby Bombers team in 2014 & 2015 at EDNA. She joined the Under 17’s squad
in 2016 and was named the Under 17 Runner Up Best & Fairest. She also earned a couple of B grade
games over this season and played finals with the 17’s. Meg started the 2017 season in the B
Grade squad but was soon promoted to the A Grade side, where she played the rest of the season.
She was named the GV Rising Star and the EFNC Rising star and although she is still eligible for Under
17’s this year, this star of ours is continuing to shine in our A Grade squad.
Meg is an extremely competitive player who shows great strength of body and mind. She possesses
amazing speed which has been very well utilised playing in many different centre court positions.
Her ability to read the play along with her anticipation and closing speed means she gets her hands
on the ball regularly through intercepts and the picking up of loose ball. Meg is very athletic and has
amazing elevation. She moves around the court with ease and uses her agility to tippy toe around
the edge of the circle. Meg is learning to use her speed to drive out of defence as an attacking option
or to hit the circles edge ready for delivery into the circle.
Congratulations on your 50 games Meg we love having around the club and are excited to see what
the future holds for you.
