This week we congratulate Jordy Townrow on 150 games with the Mighty Murray Bombers. Jordy began playing for Echuca in the Under 17’s in 2008 under Narelle King. She then progressed in 2009 to the B Reserve side. After a season off in 2010 Jordy has been a constant member of the B or B Reserve sides from 2011 to the 2016 season moving away last year to teach in Mirboo North. This season Jordy is back and having a stellar season under Misty Howard and Kelly Sutton. Jordy is a dynamic and diverse player who is versatile and able to dominate at both ends of the court. She is a strong and reliable player who is a great asset to the Echuca Netball Club. Although Jordy has won a Best and Fairest at our club her fondest memory of playing over the years is playing in the Semi Final a couple of seasons ago and she does get a bit of a thrill out of beating United!
This year Jordy has further displayed her versatility by trying her hand at women’s football and has become a valuable player for the Echuca Women’s Netball team.
Congratulations Jordy, good luck for the game and many more games in the Green and White.
